New Beginnings at Liverpool FC

Liverpool FC statement - Liverpool FC

Liverpool have been enjoying a brilliant pre season and start of the season so far. Manager Mowgles has returned to the club and has brought in a new upbeat vibe to the corridors of the AXA Training ground in Kirkby.

After being sacked after only 4 games previously, manager Mowgles spent a season in Belgium, taking charge of Genk. They only had a mid table finish and were battered in the league. However Liverpool took a chance after failing to sign a manager who excited the fans like Mowgles could.

in pre season, Mowgles wasted no time, stamping his mark on the team. Mowgles cleared out some of his exciting youth such as Akman to Detroit, adedeji-Sternberg to Gremio and even starting striker Arokodare to Modena.

He then proceeded to sign players to fit his classic 433 formation. Sadiq coming back to the club for 20m, Sima arriving from Rangers for 40m and the midfield had a makeover too, with Gruda and Lavia arriving at the club after Vetlesen made way for more exciting prospects.

Star striker Abline was also signed, after being a target for the club for the whole of last season. Daka was signed and was an instant hit of the club but after a bust up in the changing room with new striker Abline, he was sold to Bayern Munich.

Mowgles invested heavily in scouts, with another striker, Diakite and exciting winger Tzolis arriving at the club. The club assures for now no more signings will be in the club until results start to be returned from the investments made.

Mowgles wasted no time in this. Liverpool has a shaky start with a 3-1 Loss against EA Guingamp, after which they beat the superb Galacticos, Real Madrid, at Anfield in a hard fought 1-0 win, following that a 2-0 win against Montpellier, also in front of the home fans. With Sima being a star in that game, highlighting why he was signed.

But the real moment where Mowgles tactical stamp was seen at Liverpool was when they faced rivals Dundee FC. Last season Mowgles fell victim to them in a 8-0 defeat which destroyed his career. This was his chance for revenge. He told his players no mercy. They listened.

Liverpool stormed to a 7-1 win against Dundee FC with impressive stats at the end of the game and a flurry of stunning games from his new look attack and team. Showing a high press and rock and roll football in front of the Kop. Liverpool now sit 2nd in the league. 3 wins and 1 loss. There is a feeling of hype and hope. However the next 3 games will pose Liverpool a huge challenge, facing league leaders Minnesota, old rival Detroit City and Gremio.
