FGN Spotlight: The Three on the Ball – Trade Talks and Tensions: The Drama Unfolds
On today’s episode of Three at the Ball, the guys are back to dissecting the latest drama in the FGN trading world. Batriel, TXAPAEIF, and a whole lot of tension have sparked some serious conversation. The guys share their takes on the mishaps, the misunderstandings, and the fallout that’s been brewing behind the scenes. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the banter as they break it all down with their usual mix of humor and insight!

Garry Carlson:
(laughing) “Alright, let’s break this down, folks. It all started when Batriel tried to offload Carlos Martin, right? The 22-year-old forward from Atlético Madrid, now on loan at Alavéz. Nothing too crazy so far. But then—TXAPAEIF shows up with this wild offer to trade Reis, the 32-year-old winger. I mean, come on. Reis? That’s like offering a used scooter when you’re trying to buy a brand-new sports car! Batriel wasn’t having it, naturally, so he counters with Addai—the 19-year-old wonderkid from AZ Alkmaar. And BOOM, that’s where the fireworks started.”
(pauses dramatically)
“And then TXAPAEIF—oh, the cheeky guy—throws in a laughable response about the offer. I mean, what’s Batriel supposed to do, just sit there and take it like a champ? Sure, maybe Batriel could’ve played it cool, but you can’t just let someone publicly roast your trade offer without a little comeback. He had to do something!”
Thierry Espimas:
(grinning) “Alright, alright, Garry. I get where you’re coming from, but I think TXAPAEIF was just trying to have a little fun. I mean, come on, it was all in good humor… probably. But yes, it was in front of the whole league. Not the best timing, but hey, it’s all part of the game, right?”
(pauses, chuckles)
“But hey, Batriel could’ve just rolled with it. A little less drama, a little more… maturity. You know, take the high road. But instead, we’re now watching a soap opera unfold.”
Roy Hearty:
(seriously) “I’m not buying that, Thierry. TXAPAEIF was totally trying to roast Batriel. Batriel makes a serious offer, and TXAPAEIF goes, ‘Haha, no thanks!’ and then throws out a public joke. That’s just cold! And then—get this—he goes ahead and sells Addai for a fraction of his value. It’s like telling someone their pizza’s burnt, then easting while he is not watching . Something doesn’t sit right there.”
(pauses for effect)
“And let’s talk numbers. 12.5 million for a player with a 31.5 million buyout? That’s way off. I mean, that’s like saying, ‘I’m not hungry,’ then going out and buying a meal for half the price. What’s going on there?”
(pauses again, leaning in)
“And then, after all of that, Batriel is sitting there, trying to figure out how the heck he became the bad guy. The guy just wanted to trade a player, not start a drama fest.”

Garry Carlson:
(nods) “Exactly, Roy. Batriel’s just trying to do some business here, and TXAPAEIF? He throws out a lowball offer, mocks the counteroffer and then… poof. It escalates. I mean, Batriel must’ve been sitting there, wondering if he was part of a reality TV show. ‘What just happened?’”
Thierry Espimas:
(shrugs) “Okay, hold on, though. Batriel didn’t need to go public with it. Sure, TXAPAEIF was a little cheeky, but Batriel could’ve just texted him privately, like a normal person. You know, handle it behind closed doors. Instead, it became a whole spectacle.”
(pauses, smirking)
“Look, no one’s saying TXAPAEIF was perfect here. He was a bit too playful with the whole thing. But still—Batriel could’ve handled it without making it a major league incident. There’s a difference between standing your ground and making a public drama.”
Roy Hearty:
(serious tone, leaning forward) “I get it, Thierry. Batriel could’ve played it cool, but here’s the kicker—what about the fact that TXAPAEIF was already mad about the Latasa situation? Let’s not forget that! Batriel shut him down before, and now he’s poking fun at Batriel’s trade. Feels like a little payback, doesn’t it? This whole thing was a ticking time bomb.”
(leans in further)
“Honestly, though, it’s not even just about the trade. It’s how everyone jumped in afterward. Batriel gets hung out to dry like he started a war. People need to take a step back and see the bigger picture. Yeah, TXAPAEIF was cheeky, but Batriel wasn’t exactly playing it like a pro, either. And then, we’ve got Mowgles pulling the plug on the scout event. I mean, that’s a serious move, but it also shows how the league’s admin is just done with all these public confrontations.”
Garry Carlson:
(raising an eyebrow) “Wait, what’s this about Latasa, Thierry? This is all tied to the same mess?”

Thierry Espimas:
(grinning) “Oh yeah, Garry. See, before all this Addai stuff kicked off, TXAPAEIF actually asked about Latasa. Batriel countered with Steuckers as a trade and you know how that goes—when a player has a lot of interest, the price goes up and Steuckers couldnt just go for a simple trade. So Batriel says, ‘Alright, how about two players plus cash?’ Classic power move.”
Garry Carlson:
(stunned) “Wait, TXAPAEIF asked about Latasa, and then nothing happened?”
Thierry Espimas:
(nods) “Yup. He asked for time to think. But after hours and hours went by with no word? Batriel just called it. ‘If you’re not serious, I’m out.’ Left the chat channel. And let me tell you, he wasn’t exactly chipper about it.”
Roy Hearty:
(raising an eyebrow) “Wait, so TXAPAEIF just ghosted him? No response?”
Thierry Espimas:
(grins) “Yep, just left him hanging. And when the Addai trade came around? You can bet there was a little bit of frustration left over from the Latasa talks. TXAPAEIF wasn’t exactly feeling warm and fuzzy about Batriel anymore.”
Roy Hearty:
(sighs) “So, TXAPAEIF had a score to settle. That could explain the whole mocking situation. He’s poking fun at Batriel like, ‘Oh, you didn’t take my offer seriously last time? Here’s your dose of reality.’”
Garry Carlson:
(nods) “Exactly. The tension had been simmering. Then you throw in the Addai deal and TXAPAEIF making jokes, and boom—the whole thing explodes. It’s like a comedy sketch gone horribly wrong.”
Thierry Espimas:
(chuckling) “I’m telling you, it’s like watching a soap opera. One thing leads to another, and suddenly, we’re all in this mess. Just waiting for the next dramatic twist.”
Roy Hearty:
(nods slowly) “Yeah, but what’s crazy is that Batriel’s could be the one taking the fall. People may start acting like he’s the one who started the whole fire. Sure, he had his moment in the spotlight, but TXAPAEIF wasn’t exactly an angel here.”
Garry Carlson:
(serious) “And now Batriel feels responsible for the whole thing. The canceled scout event? Mowgles pulled the plug, and now Batriel’s probably sitting there, wondering if he went too far. He was just standing up for himself, but now he’s the one carrying the weight of it all. Probably thinking, ‘Was it worth it? Do I need a vacation?’”
Thierry Espimas:
(pauses) “Yeah, Batriel didn’t want to back down, and I respect that. But now he’s looking at the mess and thinking, ‘Did I just burn down the house?’ It’s tough, but sometimes standing your ground comes with some serious collateral damage.”
(pauses, shaking his head)
“It’s like, don’t go public with it unless you’re ready for the chaos.”
